Laughing Sheep Farm and Restaurant

For those of you who haven't yet experienced Laughing Sheep Farm and restaurant, now would be a good time to do so!  They offer all natural, grass fed beef, bison, pork, lamb and all kinds of other goodies for both lunch and dinner dining, all of which is healthy and good for you too!
Laughing Sheep is located one mile west of Lincoln, NM on Hwy 380 (look for the sign on the left) .  They offer lunches Wed-Sun and dinners Fri-Sun.  Call for exact times or special reservations (575) 653-4041.

OK, back to the important stuff...I had the very best grilled chicken "burger" with grilled melon and the most WONDERFUL sauce ever..."Tequila Cantaloupe Lime Sauce".  I know what you're thinking...weird combination!  So did I, until I tasted it.  I don't care what it's called, it's to die for!  You can purchase it at the farm and take some home, as I did.  Of course, you can't leave without also trying their other menu items as well as the best ever Green Chile and Asadero Bread.

Waddling outside to get into your car after the meal is a chore, but if you're having difficulties, you can work off some of that great meal by strolling around the farm and taking advantage of the "U Pick" fruit available starting this next weekend.  Sally (see photo above) is a hoot and loves to visit with guests and is always happy to talk about the farm and what is available at different times of the year.  They also sell frozen grass fed meats and are happy to send some home with you.   This is nice and convenient to the Ft. Stanton ride camp (hello endurance riders)...so don't miss this place next time we all gather there for a week of riding.

Blessings, Linda
