Komen Race for the Cure - Denver - 2010

The 2010 Komen Race for the Cure was a huge success!  Over 50,000 people walking
(I saw a number on someone's shirt that was 54,374) and over $1,000,000 was
raised during the walk this past Sunday.

The above photo depicts how hard it is for teenagers to wake up early
and participate!  Too funny!

My sister Brenda is now a four time cancer survivor and my hero.  It's an honor
to be able to walk with her every year in Denver...she's the one in the pink
survivor t-shirt.

Even "The Little Dude" walked with us....kind of.

This was the scene (above) just before we turned towards Mile High Stadium...

You can see everyone walking to the left on the on ramp to I-25.  We were
standing on the overpass which was also packed with people...everyone was
honking their horns and I know cheering us on!

Another view from the on ramp.  This is the largest Komen Race for the Cure in
the country.  What a privilege to be a part of such a great cause.

Join us next October in Denver!  We have a blast!
